Two one-off original artworks by Alexandra Gallagher showing for the first time at the Affordable Art Fair, Battersea in March 2018.
Come and Sit on My Blind Side is referring after the legend of Athena who had an owl sit on her blind side so she could see all truth. This is to work with a circular version of ‘Don’t Speak What Your Heart Flutters’
Originated as a diptych to face one another these pieces are about being blinded by love, how we don’t always see the truth of what is in front of us and we don’t always listen to our intuition in situations where maybe we should. Like the bad relationship where you know your partner is being untrue but you kid yourself “but I love them…”
