London Artist Jane Fredericks has been exploring the art of collage for the past ten years alongside her success as a specialist in the interior design world.
Over recent years, Jane’s work has explored the medium of collage, with earlier works collated from various ephemera sources such as old postcards, information books, contemporary and vintage magazines and photographs. Images set against a backdrop of domesticity and grand landscape creating an ambiguity that challenges us to question our view of the world around us. The familiar is transformed into the surreal, the sublime into the unnerving in a playful and at times ironic way to address social, domestic, or personal themes.
Jane’s recent works have steered toward exploring pure forms and minimialism, with the focus turned to collaging colour.
As an expert in colour and textures within the interior design world, Jane has successfully created a new collection of work imbued with feeling.
Her work has been exhibited in the UK since 2012, with shows at Whitechapel Gallery, Creative Debuts, Ink’d and Artsy.
Jane’s work is available to commission for both residential and commercial projects.
